Nepal is known to contain the world's
best rivers for white water experiences. Rafting and
Kayaking are becoming a popular pastime and sports for
the tourists. Nepal is endowned with plenty of
perennially snow fed rivers. White water rafting and
Kayaking has a unique charm and begins in the mountains
and concluded in the down stream of Terai plains. The
length of rafting trips varies from 1 to 15 days.
September to May are the best months for rafting. The
breath taking scenery of the Himalayas, Nepalese culture
and lifestyle and magnificent flora and fauna are some
of the attractions of river rafting. Rivers are sacred
for Nepalese and therefore rafting offers a close-up
vies of fascinating waterside religious ceremonies. The
most popular rafting rivers are Sunkoshi or river of
Gold, Arun, Trisuli, Kali Gandaki, Bhote Koshi and
Karnali river.
